Antonio Silva entered his UFC on FX 5 Heavyweight bout against Travis Browne as more of the "opponent" than the rising contender. Silva had lost 2 in a row to Cain Velasquez in his UFC and Daniel Cormier in his final Strikeforce bout. Travis Browne was the undefeated 13-0-1 rising star riding a three fight UFC win streak into the bout. That all came to a thudding end three and a half minutes into his bout with Bigfoot.
Browne appeared to blow out his knee while firing an off balance punch. From there it was just a matter of time. Silva laboriously stalked Browne around the cage and then shoved him into the fence. The clobbering hay maker drilled into Browne's jaw as he bounced off the mesh. That was it but Big Foot followed him down to put some pepper on the win.
