UFC Lightweight Jeremy Stephens was taken into custody by the Minneapolis Police Department. He hasn't been charged with a crime, but his fight with YVes Edwards is still in jeopardy.

UFC On FX 5 seemed to be running smooth at the beginning of this week. But since yesterday's weigh-ins it has been struck multiple times. As reported yesterday, Dennis Hallman was forced from his bout against Thiago Tavares after running into emergent personal issues. Now, another bout on the card is in jeopardy.

MMA Junkie is reporting that Jeremy Stephens has been arrested in Minnesota:

According to a Minneapolis Police Department representative, Stephens was arrested at the Marriott City Center Hotel, which is this week's UFC host hotel, and arrived at the Hennepin County Public Safety Facility at 10:44 a.m. CT local time. It's currently unknown when Stephens is scheduled to be released from the facility.

As of yet, Stephens has not been charged with a crime. He was expected to face Lightweight Yves Edwards tonight. There's no word yet on whether or not the bout will be cancelled. If it is, Aaron Simpson vs. Mike Pierce will likely be promoted to the Fuel TV card.

Update by Brent Brookhouse: The arrest appears to be due to a felony warrant. I'm seriously doubting that we see this fight take place tonight.

Update 2 by Brent Brookhouse: Here is the little bit of info off the ail roster website:

Update 3 by Brent Brookhouse: MMA Junkie is now reporting that Dana White said he still expects Stephens to fight. Which would seem odd given that he can't be properly focused for a fight now.
