Features of the new BE: Event hubs and the upcoming schedule

Tonight, instead of another update on what is being fixed and tweaked (and trust me, the developers are still working non-stop on this stuff), I want to make sure that you guys are aware of some of the more awesome functionality that we have with the new site.

First up, event hubs.

Event hubs are like front pages dedicated to specific events. You can find the hubs for the next 5 events right off the front page by going to the sections tab on the front page toolbar.

(See the UFC on FX 5 hub here)

It's a very cool, very simple way to get updates on events or just see what all has happened in the development of an event.

Next up? The Schedule.

Right next to the sections, is a drop down for library. In there, you'll find a simple, easy to read schedule of upcoming major MMA events (see the schedule page here).

We'll be constantly updating that page with fight announcements, cancellations..etc. So that it'll be a current, quick place to check to see what major events are coming soon and what fights are on the card. And, it also will have links to the event hubs, so you can then go read all the relevant news about that card.

There are more features I'll introduce over the coming weeks, but those are two that you should definitely be using as they enhance the Bloody Elbow experience.

But trust me, there are many cool things we can do with the site now and we're still learning. The experience is only going to get better as we continue getting more and more comfortable with the system.
