You know those annoying TV ads that kept telling you that "the UFC is moving to Metro; EVERYBODY'S moving to Metro" even though they never said when it was going to happen and it was always in future tense because it was still yet to happen? They lied.
The board of MetroPCS (PCS.N) has approved a merger with Deutsche Telekom's (DTEGn.DE) T-Mobile USA unit, German newspaper Financial Times Deutschland said on Wednesday, citing unidentified people familiar with the process.
The board of MetroPCS need to agree the proposed deal under which Deutsche Telekom will hold 74 percent and MetroPCS 26 percent in the combined entity, Financial Times Deutschland said on its website. Deutsche Telekom would also need to approve the plan.
Here's to no more shitty UFC MetroPCS ads.
