While the UFC won't hold another event until November 10th, this upcoming week is a pretty good one for the hardcore MMA fan. On Saturday, November 3rd, the debut of World Series of Fighting takes place in Las Vegas and airs live on NBC Sports Network. But the day before that, Nebraska-based Resurrection Fighting Alliance heads to Vegas for the first time with a stacked card for a regional promotion. The main event was originally Gilbert Yvel vs. Marcio Cruz, but an injury to Yvel meant the fight was off. Instead, former UFC fighters Tyson Griffin and Efrain Escudero are the headliners, with Griffin returning to lightweight following a failed stint at featherweight.
One of the feature attractions is the RFA debut of Sergio Pettis, younger brother of UFC lightweight contender Anthony Pettis. Chidi Njokuani, younger brother of Anthony Njokuani, competes in the co-main event against Phil Dace.
This card was originally slated to air on FightNow TV, but with the acquisition of Titan Fighting Championships, they've gained an AXS TV contract.
Here's how the event looks right now (assuming no injuries for the next few days). Bloody Elbow will provide coverage of this card next Friday.
