Another UFC preliminary card fight has been affected by the injury bug, as Australian welterweight Kyle Noke has pulled out of his fight with Seth Baczynski, which was scheduled for UFC on FX 6 in Brisbane, Australia.
The UFC's final FX show for the year is also their 2nd trip to Australia, site of the TUF: US vs. UK season finale. On the preliminary card was TUF 11 alum Kyle Noke against TUF 13's Seth Baczynski. Unfortunately Noke will need to wait a little longer for his 2nd welterweight fight thus won't be able to compete in front of his raucous home crowd. UFC Australia tweeted the bad news today:
Breaking #UFConFX: Sotiropoulos vs Pearson news - Kyle Noke is injured & out of his bout against Seth Baczynski, replacement to be announced
— UFC Australia (@UFC_Australia) October 25, 2012
Noke had lost his last two fights at middleweight and decided to drop to welterweight for the first time in six years. So far that return to 170 has paid off dividends as he surprisingly knocked out Charlie Brenneman at UFC 152, sending Brenneman out of the UFC. He's fought on the last two Australian shows (going 1-1) but injury will force him out of this one.
Baczynski has won his last 4 in the UFC and 6 overall, including a KO of Simeon Thoresen on that same UFC 152 show in Toronto. As it said in the tweet, a replacement will be announced soon.
