Last night at UFC 153, Glover Teixeira called out original opponent Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Today, Rampage said he'd be down for it and UFC president Dana White sounds cool with it.
Quinton Jackson has one fight left on his UFC contract, and he says right now that he'll be done with the organization after the bout. He was originally scheduled to face off with Glover Teixeira at UFC 153, but pulled out with an injury. Fabio Maldonado replaced Jackson, and was beaten to a pulp by Teixeira. After the bout, Teixeira said he didn't understand why Rampage was talking smack about him, and challenged him to step up and face him once again. Today on twitter, Jackson asked Dana White to make the bout once again, and Dana agreed:
@rampage4real sounds good bro

It remains to be seen if Rampage would indeed be done with the company after a bout with Teixeira, especially if he won, but Jackson changes his mind more than he changes his underwear so it's not even worth analyzing at this point. Honestly though, if Rampage came into the bout in top shape, I think he could definitely beat Glover. I might be in the minority there, but I didn't like the way Teixiera got wobbled by a zombie last night and I think Rampage could definitely catch him too. We'll see if it ever comes to fruition.
