Having watched the video already,
I find myself torn between two very different urges. On one hand, I feel like, at this point, we all kind of know the similarities and differences between MMA and pro wrestling, we know the association isn’t going anywhere, and there’s no need to dwell on it.
On the other hand, I love listening to The Bearded Baritone talk about it. He has become to pro wrestling what Hitchens was to religion; simultaneously dismissive and hateful, and amazingly eloquent and expressive about it.
And I dig Nate’s hat. Between that and the cowboy hat, he’s well on his way to having a signature look.

i dont like pro wrestling anymore but the articles on it being important/ not being important to mma fans is getting annoying like seriously no one cares about arena football when im watching the packers kill your favorite teams hopes and dreams

WWE is probably the worst thing about UFC.

I do agree links to WWE is harmful to MMA in my opinion. I hate fake which is why I cant wait for the day Sonnen returns to being the mediocre fighter he was prior to the Marquardt fight.
Most people will look at MMA for the first time and think that rather than watching a real sport they are watching the steroid and painkiller infused pantomime that is pro wrestling.

in my opinion what makes ufc great is the characters you can get emotionally invested in
i dont want to see some super respectful guy who just fights
thats freaking boring
from movies to books to tv shows to comic books to pro wrestling,etc. all need characters
beleive it or not
chuck/tito was mma’s rock/austin
chuck – stone cold bad ass who looked like he could kick your ass – just like stone cold steve austin
tito – cocky arrogant prick just like the rock was when he was a bad guy
it is what gets guys marketable and entertaining
