Tarec Saffeidine Wins Split Decision With Broken Arm
Shortly after tonight's event Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine, Dan Henderson took to twitter to console Tarec Saffeidine for a broken arm he suffered in the 1st round of his fight with Tyler Stinson. I'm not sure when in the round the injury happened, but for Tarec to persevere through that and being rocked late in the first to secure the split decision win is even more of an accomplishment now.
The question now is what this means for the Strikeforce Welterweight title. Nick Diaz vacated the championship back in July when he signed with the UFC. It's been widely speculated going in to tonight's event that the winners of Saffeidine/Stinson and Tyrone Woodley/Jordan Mein would compete for the vacant title. Will Tarec's injury change these plans? Or will Strikeforce put the championship on hold until Saffeidine is ready to compete?

Big fan of Tarec.
Guy is tough as nails and really a brilliant technician.
"God loves violence... Why else would there be so much of it? It's in us. It's what we are. We wage war, we burn sacrifices, and pillage and plunder and tear at the flesh of our brothers. And why? Because God gave us violence to wage in his honor... There's no moral order at all. There's just this: can my violence conquer yours?"

that was a great fight, and it’s even more impressive with this fact emerging from it. it certainly explains why he seemed a little more tentative in the third round to me.
