Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine - Pre-Fight Press Conference Video
With Strikeforce set for their next show Saturday night on Showtime, the fighters and Scott Coker sat down on Thursday for the pre-fight press conference. The event takes place from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Main event fighters Keith Jardine and Strikeforce middleweight champ Luke Rockhold were on hand to discuss their fight as well as co-main event fighters Robbie Lawler and Adlan Amagov. The always outspoken "King" Muhammed Lawal was also there to discuss his bout with Lorenz Larkin.
As a reminder, while the main card will be shown on Showtime starting at 10 p.m. ET, the preliminary fights will start at 8 p.m. ET on Showtime Extreme.

Is this the first time for them showing prelims
on one of the other Showtime channels?

I think it is. I’m glad they are doing this as I feel that Strikeforce has been putting on much stronger prelims as of late.

Definitely cool
that was always a persistent annoyance with Strikeforce.

It is the first time.
Part of the new deal for 2012 with Showtime. Bummer that they didn’t do it for the last show, as Wilcox vs. Fodor would have been a great one to show.

What’s funny is that the ShoExtreme ratings for these prelims may very well do better than UFC’s prelims on FUEL.
True
Fuel reaches a tiny audience, and a lot of cable systems are offering ShoExtreme free this weekend.

Yup they have been sense the Zuffa revamp.Instead of only getting local fighters to fill up seats they are actually using the prelims to focus on young talent. That was one of the reasons why the challengers series was stoped they are just going to use the prelims now for that purpose. I think its a great idea and makes there cards so much stronger
