Cain Velasquez one of the most elite Heavyweight fighters in the world has been knocked off the radar for the past few months. Hey, a 60 second KO will do that to you, especially to lose your heavyweight title. Now i am not bashing Cain what so ever, actually I am a huge fan of his. Seeing him drop like a sack of potatoes was shocking to say the least. My question here is when will he return to the octagon and get that belt back. I truly believe he will make a run and after one to two fights will be fighting for that belt. Getting KO ed like that has people questioning his chin a lot though. I personally think he will learn from those mistakes and use his wrestling a little more against heavy handed strikers.
Rumors saying Cain vs. Big foot Silva, but they were quickly turned down. Another rumor was Cain vs. Frank Mir. Regardless of the fight i think Cain will come out strong and back to normal once he is healthy again. Any ideas for his next opponent not mentioned on here?

Problem is that there are no opponents for Cain other than Mir.
Maybe winner of Werdum vs Big Country?
His chin isn't exactly bad.
The punch that put Cain down was to the ear area, and I’m pretty sure it messed with his equilibrium, rather than rocking him. Granted, in a situation like that, the end result is Junior dribbling your head off the mat until you are actually unconscious.
Cain is a definitely one of the better fighters in any division. I think he will easily get another shot at the title, I just don’t think he beats junior.
I would have loved to see that fight
go to the 2nd or 3rd round. See if JDS could defend Cain’s takedowns. See if JDS really had the boxing advantage. Oh well.
I agree if it made it to the later rds..
If it mad it to the 2nd even 3rd i would be real curios on JDS stamina against Cain’s take downs. He did get hit on the perfect spot and with the kind of power no one stood a chance.

Hey film guy your pretty lame to put up a stupid video that obviously we all saw because were on a bloodyelbow forum page. I don’t remember who won the fight but thanks for refreshing are minds. Maybe you and me can remake this video and you’ll be the one heading face first into the mat you coward box head.
On other news…I think Cain vs Mir would be awesome. Cain has got to utilize his wrestling more because he’s the most well conditioned athlete in the heavyweight division…if he was to fight JDS again i really think he can outlast him on the ground and tire him out…maybe TheFilmGuy can put up a video of how tired JDS looked after that fight…oh yeah fuck you film guy

JDS also didn’t look very tired at all after beating the shit out of Nelson for three straight rounds. Get it together man!

Because I would think he’d want to get right back at it given his inactivity before losing the title?
