Fighting is like champagne. It goes to the heads of cowards as quickly as of heroes. Any fool can be brave on a battlefield when it's be brave or else be killed.
not even that i am wondering why vitor keeps getting the easy route
he gets a catch weight bout with rich franklin. then two years later he gets to fight anderson silva. he loses to anderson and gets the undersized akiyama. now he gets rumble whats up with that? i am thinking like you what if rumble blitzes vitor he gets winner of conduit diaz?
Many people have gotten title shots for lesser victories than Rich Franklin.
And Akiyama is a perfectly fine comeback fight. Granted this one is a little weird, but Vitor’s in holding pattern till TUF Brazil is over so they aren’t going to give him a title challenger (not that there are many of those left at MW either).
As for Rumble; the winner of Condit/Diaz is waiting for GSP. The loser is probably gonna get either Fitch or Penn I suspect. I doubt the UFC would let Rumble anywhere near a title shot at 170 given his history of missing weight. If he beats Vitor maybe they’ll give him Okami?
