UFC On Fox 2 Results Recap: Chris Camozzi Vs Dustin Jacoby

Chris Camozzi at UFC on FOX 2 by Esther Lin

In the opening bout of UFC on Fox 2, Chris Camozzi defeated Dustin Jacoby with a guillotine choke. The submission came at 1:08 in the third round. Camozzi rebounded from his decision loss at UFC 137 and improves his record to 3-2 in the UFC and 16-5 overall. Jacoby drops his second straight fight in the UFC. He is now 6-2 in his career and 0-2 in the promotion.

The bout was scheduled to be the only fight streamed on Facebook. For unknown reasons, the UFC decided to not stream the fight on Facebook nor show it on Fuel tv. This decision ultimately led to some confusion from fans who logged onto Facebook to watch the fight.

What was the high spot of this fight?

Who knows?! This is the only fight that didn't air. Ever since the UFC started to use Facebook as an outlet to air fights, fans have been able to view every fight on a card. Until last night when the decision was made to not stream or air Camozzi vs Jacoby. The high spot is likely the submission.

Where do these guys go from here?

As the victor of a dark match, Chris Camozzi will be given another shot in the UFC. He's 3-2 in the promotion and as an alumnus of The Ultimate Fighter, he will find some loyalty from Joe Silva and Dana White. He lacks the usual upside potential but he'll stick around to fill out the preliminary fights on PPV.

Dustin Jacoby finds himself in an awkward position. The fact that no one saw his loss could either work to his advantage in getting another fight or it could mean that he's back to the regional scene. I expect that last night was the last time that UFC fans hear the name Dustin Jacoby.

Watch it now, later or never?

If you can find it, watch it. It ended in a guillotine choke and by live accounts it was a pretty slick finish.

Why the hell did the UFC not stream this fight on Facebook?

I was looking forward to watching these two guys throw leather. Sounds like it was a pretty good bout, as well!

Hmmmm.

Maybe they were not into streaming it due to recent internet troubles?

I thought Lay N Pray was a stupid insult until I watched Tyrone Woodly fight.
