Fabricio Camoes picked up his first UFC win after dominating Tom Hayden in the first round. The finish sequence was a bit odd with several 'false' taps from Hayden before finally submitting to the rear naked choke. Fabricio Camoes is a third degree black belt under Royler Gracie. He set up the choke with a Gable grip before changing to a more traditional rear naked choke. Hayden did well surviving but eventually had to tap when he was unable to escape the extremely tight choke.

Fabricio Camoes is now 1-1-1 in the UFC and 14-6-1 in his MMA career. His previous fights in the promotion include a loss to Kurt Pellegrino and a draw with Caol Uno. Tom Hayden was making his UFC debut. Prior to this fight he was undefeated in his career with eight wins, none of those fights going to decision.
