Good to see
With great takedowns and Jitz you’re a danger to anyone. His boxing isn’t too bad I guess. Still want him vs Nate Diaz part 3.

Andre looks like a blurry Shooter McGavin in that photo.

i guess it makes sense if you have some power in your hands to look for that but i dont understand why guys with wrestling anywhere near grays caliber dont fall in love with submissions.
this will no doubt make him better

It’s hard to submit guys at a high level.

I said it's hard, not impossible
He beats people up first then submits them to be fair.

Then everybody better start training spinning back elbows and coming out on all fours.

Gotta feel bad for GSP, I don’t think I have heard anything positive about the guy all year, but to be fair he hasn’t done much this year
Not when all of his past foes have been all been finished by other opponents.
"Dont take anything for granted when your fighting me. If you assume you have an edge here or that your gonna dominate me there, you know you better think again man Cause Im gonna FUCK YOU UP!!!"-Carlos Condit Champion 2011
GSP is fighting to keep that belt, he doesn’t need to take risks and have exciting fights as long as he wins, but it’s costing him his legacy.
But that’s kinda the WW division for you. You got Pat Miletich, then Matt Hughes, and now GSP.
I don’t get it sometimes, GSP has crazy talent, what is he afraid of?
Thank you Matt Serra for destroying the WW division
To put it bluntly, he is afraid of losing.
He probably was one of those kids that just won his entire life. Some people like that have a mental issue where they do NOT want to lose.
My opinion>Your onion.

more likely the opposite
Lost his whole life and is now getting a taste of winning and success and doesn’t want to lose it

Actually,
according to Georges, he was a skinny, picked-on kid, who took up martial arts to defend himself and built his self-esteem in the process. I think he got cocky right up until the Serra fight, and told himself he’d never get over-confident again after losing his belt. He could actually use some swagger to push himself to get the finish. Instead, he’s become overly cerebral in there, needing everything to be right before he’ll cut loose.

And i dont blame him. the argument that he’s scared or fighting to lose is bs. he fights “safe” so that he can be 100% all over in every area and not let someones strength be their way of winning against he wants to show you that your ace in the whole is gone and now you must fight me alil bit dare i say SMARTER. and just what is the other guy doing against him? basically losing in their minds once they fight and find out simple minded game plans dont beat gsp they just DONT. to say he’s scared is crazy if you think he’s so scared: win fights, get a ufc contract and fight him then you’ll see. you all will see!!! MWAHAHAHA bottom line i’d rather gsp then nick diaz be my champ you might not like it and you might not like me as fan or his style NOWADAYS but come fight night i know who’s winning and when they fight each other you’ll see that a non head moving one dimensional “boxer” in diaz loses everytime to george. and he’s not even a boxer he’s just good with his hands.but my opinion means nothing you’ll just hate him still so carry on

That blue belt looks pretty worn out.

na it just looks like a new Brazilian JJ blue belt.
Some BJJ Gi companies sell fairly normal looking blue and purple in their series of belts.. say HK has a normal blue..
while many brazilian based Gi companies sell a more BJJ specific traditional blue and purple.. they are more pastel ish and have more white in the color.
Now it is a tradition for a teacher to pass his specific old blue belt down… but usually only to a special student.. not a fighter passing through for a couple weeks of training.
The fact that the belt is tied and the extra after the knot hangs horizontal shows that the belt is still stiff and high quality. … I’d assume it is new and not a hand me down.
You sir are a belt detective.
