The way I see it, this loss is very similar to the GSP loss to Matt Serra. Really GSP is just a superior version of Jon Fitch, he is just slightly better at every aspect and if GSP didn't exist and Jon Fitch were better looking and French-Canadian, he would probably be the reigning WW Champion with the exact same criticisms people have for GSP.
So now that he has suffered a very similar loss how will he come back from it? I really feel like this is a chance for him to reinvent himself. This is the perfect excuse for DFW to bury him on the undercard while the volatility of the division can quickly forget he was the perennial #2 welterweight for God knows how many years.
Really I hope he makes a decision to earn his claim for contention back through some exciting victories, because I don't remember any other victorious fighter who was denied a post fight interview with Joe Rogan... so unless he wants to whine like Matt Lindland and claim his hideous facade is what kept him out of the limelight he has some work to do.
