Mark Munoz injured his elbow sparring. He's scheduled for surgery due to bone spurs Thursday according to his Twitter. This is terrible news for Mark and all of the fans looking forward to his fight with Chael Sonnen, a fight with #1 Contender status implications. If Mark had won (it looked good for him too) he would be facing Anderson Silva for the MW belt. Now, his next bout is up in the air. He could possibly face the winner of the Anderson Silva bout, or he will have to have another contender fight...or one of the million other scenarios the UFC could come up with. Whatever the case, we wish Mark a speedy recovery and can't wait to see him back in the Octagon™.
