What about the fans of his that think he’s got some of the best Kaufmanesque type heel comedy in the business?

My biggest issue with him (I have a lot look at my sig) and his fans is that moronic quote, “I actually held public office and I left the only way a politician should, in handcuffs” and the fact that people celebrate this as if it were a good thing. People like Chael are the reasons I dislike American politics, remain a registered Republican (so I can vote in their primaries), avoid political discussions at all costs (because people are very dumb), am ashamed to be an MMA fan, gave up on hoping for a better tomorrow, and despise politicians and media personalities who use patriotism as a guise for their personal agendas. A real politician leaves office after they have accomplished the goals they promised their party, the public that elected them and their constituents not after they broke some laws helping themselves. I do not think in my lifetime I will see such a politician and that sucks. Also anyone has to cheat during a title fight should not be allowed to fight again.

On a more positive note if he were in the WWE doing all of this I would not care primarily because I do not watch the WWE. Plus let’s think about it he is really good at talking shit, loves juice, is a good wrestler, and has no problems cheating. If he is not tailor made for the WWE/pro wrestling I do not know who is. He could make a shit ton of money and walk around holding hands with CM Punk all day and nobody would care.

I completely agree with the sentiment, but also think that Sonnen fans are entitled to their opinions, as benighted as they might be.

He talks a lot of trash, which makes it interesting and builds up some extra attention for any given fight he is in.

Against most people at MW, perhaps everyone at MW…I would root against Sonnen, I wanted Stann to beat him, I was hoping Munoz would beat him.

But Michael F’cking Bisping? No way will I ever root for that guy, not a chance in hell. In fact, a guy like Sonnen is exactly who he SHOULD be fighting…he ‘deserves’ it in the worst way.

He is like a white Muhammad Ali, without the amazing fighting ability. But a cocky, racist, arrogant, and seldom funny white guy, you know they are gonna love him. Unless he aint American.

I have to agree with this guy 100%. Sonnen does enough to prove himself in the cage (forgetting the juicing) and doesn’t need to go on with all the crap he does. I think he’s an ingenious marketer but a poor example overall.
