At UFC 100, Brock Lesnar went on one of if not the most famous tirade in MMA history. He bashed on the sponsor, he bashed on the crowd, and he promised that he was going to bash all up in his wife later that night. The post fight press conference was a different story as Brock told the public about his whip the dog session with Dana White.
This has gotten me to wonder what other kind of locker room conversations Dana has had with fighters. I'll throw out a couple of examples that I would kill to have heard with my own two ears.
BJ PENN VS JON FITCH at UFC 127.
Johnny Hendricks put an end to the stale, boring hump fest of Jon Fitch's dominance but the opportunity was given to BJ Penn before him. The UFC had to be banking on BJ Penn putting Fitch away and he almost had it. If it wasn't for that 10-8 third round. Imagine the conversation that Dana had with BJ after he gave way that third round?
Nick Diaz didn't show up to the press conference and gets kicked out of his title shot. Nick Diaz gets demoted to the co-main event with Carlos Condit. GSP gets hurt, and Nick Diaz gets promoted to the main event with BJ Penn. Nick Diaz and BJ Penn end up being the only fight on the card worth watching. How do you think that conversation went after the fight was over? I would have love to have heard what Nick and Dana talked about after that.
Johny Hendricks vs Jon Fitch at UFC 141
Jon Fitch knocked out in 12 seconds. How do you think that conversation went. One can only imagine.
Any other ideas?
