so cool seeing this

I was going to post it and only after did I notice you had posted this already, just wanted to drop some info I was going to put on my fanshot:

A very young Edson Barboza showing off his moves in an old news piece. At 9 years of age, Edson, who took advantage of a social program created by Master Márcio Monnerat to help poor kids, was already considered a beast.

According to PVT, at just nine years of age and weighing 27 kilograms, Edson could throw 34 kicks in 15 seconds. He was already two-time state Taekwondo champion, champion of Kickboxing in the city of Niteroi and state and national champion in Muay Thai. He’d train six hours per day during competition season.

Holy crap

I remember “fighting” in a Karate tournament at 9 and getting kicked in the stomach pretty hard. I cried all the way to the podium to pick up my bronze medal and probably all the way home. If Lil Edson kicked me I’d probably still be crying today.

damn is that Edson?!

I looked him up and where he’s training now and even though he’s really good i don’t think he’s gonna last at the top with that training camp.

I’m not resting until I’m officially Anderson Silva status.- Jon "Bones" Jones
