Bloody Elbow Radio, presented by Bad Boy, will be LIVE! at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT for another edition of the show. Join hosts Matt Bishop and MMA Mania's Brian Hemminger as they discuss all the latest in mixed martial arts, including the drug test failure of Muhammed Lawal, a long discussion on PEDs in MMA on the heels of the UFC's decision to test new signees, plus a look at how Strikeforce's upcoming Columbus show could struggled and more.
We'll also welcome MMA author Lance Freimuth to the show, who recently penned "The Grappler's Manifesto" with a host of notable MMA fighters and trainers. We'll chat with him about his book, which has been described as a mix tape for grapplers, his background and much more.

It’d be great if it was Rousey. It’s just recently that I’ve heard some of the trash she’s been talking as of late. I know, she’s playing a character to get attention and all that, but saying that Cris Cyborg has a penis… that sort of thing turns me off.

Random testing done by ACs is what I want.
Failing that, random testing enforced and executed by the UFC.
No, i dont want to see the commission doing it. They are incompetent.
If you want it done, it should be in house in the UFC. Keep it random like 6 times a year doing blood tests and that will solve your problem. Id rather see all of them on gear because the fighters are down to do it and id like to see the KOs

When does the government doing anything well. Look no further that NSAC and CSAC. Watch teh hearings and you know its a joke. If the UFC doesnt enforce it, its because they dont want to. Not because they cant.

Why would the UFC care at all? The commission’s incompetence has allowed the UFC to make boatloads of cash. There isn’t enough of an outcry for anyone to care.
Furthermore, if you actually did any research, you’d understand that blood testing is still behind the designer market.

And the only reason we have this pre-signing test is to avoid these issues in the future. The UFC won’t release the results. It’ll just give them a gauge of who is juicing and who isn’t.

The UFC won't randomly test everyone because they have too much to lose.
I suspect the UFC is trying to find a middle ground, where it allows them to show they’re serious, but at the same time don’t hang themselves in case a bunch of their top stars get popped. Blood tests are what I’d like to see at the very least, but this new policy is just a start by the UFC to see how far they should go. They’re testing the waters.

You can literally skip two tests without any reason before being punished.
