Joe Silva said he tapped, Alcantara was adamant that he tapped, and he did make the tapping motion at least once before the angle change. Unfortunately there is no proper angle after the roll, and the ref was completely out of position.

Alcantara only felt the tap and it was the ref tapping his leg.

More of a clawing at Alcantara’s hand.

that's what I think too
or he was trying to re-clasp his own hands but couldn’t reach. Though if the ref had been in position to see it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he considered it a tap out.

yeah
I think before he rolled onto his back he instinctively went to grab his own arm. and that may have been construed as a tap by Alcantara.

I'd like a 3 tap minimum policy to be installed

no because then guys will play the game
and tap twice to see if fighters will let go of subs. It would be a mess.
I think Omigawa tapped, and then realized the armbar wasn’t quite on and tried to keep fighting.

No.
His hand shoots out toward his torqued arm when the lock is first applied, and as he rolls his hand is just sort of hovering, definitely not tapping.
shouldnt matter
he looked in pain and it was locked in. itd be one thing if it was a choke but its always better to er on the side of caution with breaking subs
