Bad Boy Presents Bloody Elbow Radio - Episode 121: Dwayne Lewis, UFC 142 Preview
Bloody Elbow Radio, presented by Bad Boy, will be LIVE! at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT for another edition of the show. Join hosts Matt Bishop and MMA Mania's Brian Hemminger as they preview this weekend's UFC 142, which is headlined by a world featherweight championship bout between Jose Aldo and top challenger Chad Mendes and a middleweight affair between former light-heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort and Anthony Johnson.
We'll preview all the evening's bouts while taking your calls, emails, tweets and comments.
We're scheduled to be joined by MFC light-heavyweight Dwayne Lewis as he prepares for his five-round main event bout with UFC veteran Wilson Gouveia on Jan. 27 at MFC 32 in Edmonton. We'll chat with him about that bout, what's kept him out of the ring for nearly a year and much more.
Bloody Elbow Radio is sponsored by Bad Boy. Bad Boy, the 2010 and 2011 World MMA Awards winner for "Best Technical Clothing Brand" can be found at the brand new BadBoy.com. Follow them on Twitter and Facebook and tell them Bloody Elbow sent you.

UNO!
Love that game, we used to play it all the time when we got stoned instead of studying in college. We created evil custom cards like the “three step rocket” and such.. ah, good times.

The Cyborg – Carano fight was close till the end! I re-watched it a few month ago and let me tell you, it doesn’t matter how much Forrest disses Carano, she held her own till the end.

I actually had the picture of an utter destruction in my head too, but I was surprised how good Cerrano fought. Cerrano was just a bit dumb and inexperienced on the ground, when she was on top and simply stood up. I guess she didn’t want to get submitted.
Cerrano…. yiep ;-)

because Cyborg’s ground game is so good?

question for Lewis
When he eventually finishes fighting and is looking back on his career, what things he’s learned will be the most prized?

Lol.
UFC 5 was huge! It’ll definitely beat 142 in the buyrate department.
I’m not going to count that either.

Cards that are broadcast LIVE from Europe always do atrociously. UFC 99 would’ve done the same except it had Wanderlei AND Rich Franklin AND CroCop. UFC 72 was Rich Franklin against Okami. This is a big reason why they do all the Europe shows via tape delay on TV, or adjust the timing of the live event so that they air in the standard 7-10 PM PST time-slot.
Over.
See: Anthony Johnson vs Dan Hardy.
This is either gonna be short and violent or a fifteen minute wrestling match.

I’ve talked a lot of crap about Johnson cutting to welterweight. It never made any sense and I always thought he was a bit of a coward for it.

Good predictions there! Completely agree about Njokuani and Pearsons striking, two of the absolute best in those divisions for sure.

Also agree that Prater could give Silva some trouble, or at least hang in there longer than a round.
