You have probably seen a few of the official photos from ONE FC's inaugural event this weekend, and now here are the several interesting backstage and event photos that I was able to take while I was in Singapore.

Pictured above, is PRIDE, and now ONE FC, Rule Director and Head Official, Matt "The Wizard" Hume, briefing the fighters and the officials a couple of hours before the event started. Check out more behind the scenes photos after the jump.

see the blonde?

She’s about 6’3 I think. She was towering over everyone while walking with heels on.

Fantastic aesthetics and composition, Anton. Excellent work.
I hope One FC takes off and does gangbusters. It would be great if this kind of MMA took off in Asia.

Thanks, great stuff....

I enjoyed the fights better than most UFC events, and I really enjoyed your coverage.

I flat out love the fighter and cornermen watching the fights on YouTube. That’s an amazing picture and one that only happens if you’re still thinking “Where can I find a good image?” hours after the event ended.

Good stuff, Anton.

Thanks.

That’s actually a day after the event, Eduard and Kelly were trying to find footage of their fights while waiting at the airport…

I should’ve zoomed out a bit more, cause there was a “Free Internet” sign that would’ve made the photo a lot better. :)

I hate to be the guy who says what everyone else has already said, but credit is due; there’s some great shots there, Anton.

Is Matt Hume a BJJ instructor? I know he trains lots of fighters, never knew he was a Pride head official though. And that got me wondering what exactly he’s known as a trainer for.

Thanks,

Matt Hume was an excellent grappler, but he does everything in MMA now. haha. Rules Official, Referee, Head Trainer, Coach etc.

Can't believe I did not recgonize Josh Thmpson when I fist bumped him

Anton, did you know what did Baroni do to antagonize the crowd on his way out of the cage? I heard sudden booing, but since he was at the other side I had no idea what he did.

by shogunism on Sep 7, 2011 4:19 AM EDT reply actions

I don't know. I was busy taking pics of Zenko when the crowd started booing.

I’m guessing he was pissed off and didn’t want to shake hands or something? and yeah, it’s pretty surprising that almost everyone knew Bas, and Renzo, but very few people were approaching Aoki or Josh Thomson.

I can answer that, I believe he gave them the bird (although I didn’t actually see this myself) and he definitely grabbed his crotch in a provocative manner. Good old Phil.

Folayang looks a lot like the guy from Ong Bak in the pic where he is being wiped down.

Thanks man.

it was pretty hard to shoot cause I only brought my default kit lens. haha. (I wanted to be flexible and to focus more on backstage shots)… Plus, photographers had to rotate for each fight so I wasn’t able to cover everything. But they did turn out pretty well I think. :)

impressive as always...

Really hope ONE FC takes off and doesn’t end up another Zuffa buy-out. Great job once more Anton. Also I seen the photos of Glassjaw on deviant and they were incredibly sick as well.
