The UFC has added another preliminary bout to its Fox debut in Anaheim, California on November 12th. The promotion announced via Twitter last night that featherweights Ricardo Lamas and Cub Swanson would square off at the Honda Center:
Lamas competed as a lightweight in the WEC for most of his career and saw a winning streak snapped at the final WEC show in late 2010 thanks to a brutal KO loss to Brazilian stud, Yuri Alcantara. The Chicago native got right back on the horse after that though, and in his UFC debut he needed less than a round to TKO Matt Grice at UFC on Versus 4.
Swanson has been out of action since late 2010 due to a neck injury that made him one of the first Zuffa fighters to take advantage of a new health insurance policy. Now fully healed, and having shifted his training from CSW with Erik Paulson, to Greg Jackson's camp in New Mexico, Swanson will look to continue the momentum he gained from a split decision win (and fight of the night) against Mackens Semerzier.
