Romero was telegraphing his kicks and takedowns early having no intention for fighting on his feet. Te Huna would sprawl and side step to keep the fight standing. An uppercut set up the end with Ricardo Romero being force to shoot from way outside. Te Huna landed a massive shot to the temple that put Ricardo Romero out cold. Massive win for the Australian.
The fight was the first for the UFC in their return to Denver, Colorado since UFC 1 almost 20 years earlier. A big knockout definitely put a stamp on the occasion and pumped up the crowd for what is surely going to be one of the most memorable events.
