UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage - Live Results and Play-By-Play for Main Card

As with every major show, Bloody Elbow will be here to bring you live results, play by play and commentary for UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage. The live blog will start with the beginning of the Facebook prelim stream (6:40 p.m. ET), continuing through the Spike TV prelim broadcast (8 p.m. ET) and finally through the pay-per-view broadcast (9 p.m. ET) so make sure to make Bloody Elbow your home for this event.

A UFC light heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones and challenger Quinton "Rampage" Jackson headlines the event with a co-featured bout between former welterweight champion Matt Hughes and Josh Koscheck. Also on the PPV broadcast, rising heavyweight star Travis Browne takes on Rob Broughton, Nate Diaz takes on Takanori Gomi and heavyweights Ben Rothwell and Mark Hunt collide.

It should be a fun night of fights with some long term ramifications.

Nate Diaz vs. Takanori Gomi - Round 1 - Diaz flips out the jab early. Punch from Diaz hurts Gomi and another one lands. Gomi is sticking his head down and flailing with the hook but it just isn't getting there. Diaz is jus popping him a bit. Body shot by Gomi, now a right hook by Diaz that lands hard to the head of Gomi. Diaz just popping away with his punches and Gomi just looks slow and ineffective. Diaz continuing to hurt Gomi and this is just not good. Gomi with a takedown but Diaz tries to get his back and they're back to standing and Diaz is landing at will here. Takedown by Gomi again and Diaz transitions to an armbar, now a triangle. Gomi trying to slam his way out. Transition back to armbar by Diaz and that'll do it as Gomi taps. Nate Diaz wins by submission (armbar), round 1.

Rob Broughton vs. Travis Browne - Round 1 - Browne throwing a big punch that misses but fullowing up with a solid leg kick. Leg kick lands for Broughton as Browne misses a punch. Browne pushing him back into the cage and they trade knees to the thighs. Broughton tries to check a kick and throw a punch but comes up short. Now Browne with an overhand right that lands. Pretty slow paced round so far. Leg kick by Broughton and a right hand by Browne. Nice left hand by Browne sends Broughton stumbling and some sort of "flying knee" attempt by Browne misses. Browne with a kick and now a takedown off the single leg. Full mount by Browne and he is now throwing elbows and the round ends. 10-9 Browne.

Round 2 - Broughton tries out the jab but can't find Browne's head. Browne is constantly moving out of Broughton's range. Browne finally opening up with a flurry of big knees and punches and Broughton tries to fire back, but isn't able to land. A lot of missed punches and wasted effort here and Browne is looking like he is fading a bit. Browne with another takedown late in the round and right to mount. Browne throwing some big punches from the top and the round ends. 10-9 Browne.

Round 3 - Browne is looking a bit gassed coming out of his corner. Overhand right by Broughton and a right hand in return by Browne. Another easy single leg takedown by Browne and a big punch lands. Browne riding out top position here with the looming threat of a stand-up. Browne trying to move to mount. Broughton tries to sweep, Browne takes the back so Broughton rolls over and gives up mount. Broughton almost locks up a kimura from bottom but Browne moves to side control and is out of trouble. 10-9 Browne.

Mark Hunt vs. Ben Rothwell - Round 1 - Rothwell shoots and Hunt defends the first takedown attempt. Right hand lands for Rothwell. Two punches for Hunt just about get through but don't quite land clean. Now Rothwell ducks under for a double leg takedown and gets to full mount. Hunt tries to escape and Hunt is now in side control. Hunt manages to get back to his feet by using the cage though. Takedown attempt by Rothwell gets defended. Rothwell tries for the single again and can't get it. Hunt throws some big punches but only one right hand gets through. Rothwell shoots and it's Hunt that gets on top but they're back to standing. Rothwell almost ends up on top after a hunt slip but they get back up. Rothwell with a takedown now and Ben has some blood around his eye. Rothwell on top landing some elbows now. 10-9 round for Rothwell on my card.

Round 2 - Hunt comes out with the left hook and then stuffs a takedown attempt by Rothwell. Heavy leg kick by Hunt. Rothwell tries for the takedown but Hunt defends well. Both men land punches before Hunt gets a takedown of his own. Hunt starting to land some big shots now and Rothwell looks pretty gassed. Full guard by Rothwell finally. Rothwell has no energy left and Hunt passes with ease. Hunt just dominating Rothwell on the ground. Rothwell looks lost and he just lets Hunt pass to mount. Hunt tries to take an armbar but the round ends. 10-9 Hunt.

Round 3 - Referee talking to Rothwell before the round after Ben had to be carried back to his corner. Hunt letting his power punches go. Rothwell shoots, Hunt defends and lands a punch and Rothwell's legs are gone. Hunt gets the takedown again. They're restarted after a lack of action. Both guys are pretty exhausted at this point. Rothwell with a horrible takedown attempt. Hunt lands a punch. Rothwell tries for a takedown and Hunt gets to his feet but Rothwell can't stand up quickly enough so Hunt briefly takes his back. Right hand by Hunt. Rothwell shoots but can't get the takedown. Hunt on top again, he's in side control and the ref stands them up. At the end of the round Rothwell looked for a choke, ended up in mount and the round ended. 10-9 Hunt.

Matt Hughes vs. Josh Koscheck - Round 1 - Hughes flicks out his jab a few times, a good idea to test how comfortable Koscheck is getting punched in his previously injured eye. Hughes keeps working the jab, he's going to do everything he can to touch up that eye. Nice left hook for Koscheck briefly buckles the leg of Hughes. Left hook by Hughes lands now. Hughes back to the jab a few more times. Uppercut lands for Hughes and Koscheck is having a bit of trouble with Hughes on the feet. Another uppercut by Hughes and he uses a little head movement to avoid the punches of Koscheck. Koscheck looks for a takedown, can't get it and lands a couple punches before Hughes pops him with a knee from the clinch and they separate. Few big punches by Koscheck and Hughes is hurt. A few more big shots by Koscheck and Hughes is starting to get wobbled a bit. Knee by Hughes and he slips. Koscheck on top throwing big shots and before the final horn sounds Hughes is out cold. Josh Koscheck wins by knockout (punches on ground), round 1.

UFC Light Heavyweight Championship: Jon Jones vs. Rampage Jackson - Round 1 - Jones coming out in some sort of crawling stance. Shoots and Rampage knees him in the chest. Jones clinching Rampage against the cage. Knee to the body by Jones, Rampage says it was low. Rampage turns Junes into the cage. Jones goes for a choke and Rampage defends. Nice elbow in close by Jones. Knee to the body and again it's low by Jones. Rampage complains. Jones looking for a trip and can't get it. They separate now and are in the center of the octagon. Head kick by Jones is blocked. Leg kick by Jones now. They clinch up in the center and Jones tries for a takedown off a throw but Rampage stays up. Body shot by Rampage and he misses with an overhand right. Head kick by Jones is blocked. Leg kick by Jones again. Leg kick again. Clinch up again with about a minute left. Jones pushes him into the cage again. Jones kneeing the thighs again. Spinning elbow by Jones and Rampage covers up. Head kick blocked again and a wheel kick blocked. Rampage throws big shots at Jones and misses. 10-9 Jones.

Round 2 - Leg kick by Jones and Rampage keeps stalking. Rampage pushes him into the cage but Jones reverses. Knees to the thigh again. Spinning elbow by Jones misses. Rampage avoids the takedown and Jones throwing side kicks to the thigh. Straight right hand by Jones. A lot of Rampage stalking and a left hand gets in a little bit for him. Rampage isn't being very aggressive now and Jones is able to dominate if he doesn't have anything to worry about. Leg kick by Jones. Leg kick again by Jones and another. Jab by Rampage and Jones goes back to the leg. Jones with another blocked head kick. Left hand by Rampage misses. Jones keeps picking his shots and Rampage isn't getting anything off. Jones pulls guard out of nowhere and goes for a triangle but the round ends. 10-9 Jones.

Round 3 - Jones goes for a takedown and almost gets hit with a big hook from Rampage. Rampage has thrown multiple leg kicks this round and maybe that throws Jones off a bit. Jones with a solid leg kick and now Jones wit a takedown. Jones in side control and now passes to full mount. Jones walking him toward the cage. Jones throwing a few elbows and punches now. Rampage powers his way to his feet. Jones kicks to the leg and they're back to standing. Jones keeps putting his open hand in Rampage's face, causing Jackson to complain about attempted eye pokes. Nice hooks by Jones and a leg kick that hurts Rampage. Rampage throws some huge punches that hit nothing but air. Left hook by Jackson is short. Flying knee by Jones and a push kick to the knee. Jones shoots, the round ends and Jones throws Rampage to the ground. 10-9 Jones.

Round 4 - Rampage is coming out a bit more aggressive. Left hook by Jones seems to hurt Rampage. Jones looking for the takedown from the clinch and he gets it now against the cage. Elbow by Jones. Jones moves to the back and gets the choke locked in. Rampage taps out and that's it. Jon Jones wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 4. Dominant performance by Jones and Rampage never had anything close to an answer.
