Last season's winner of The Ultimate Fighter, Tony Ferguson battles long time veteran of the sport Aaron Riley and Nick Ring does battle with Tim Boetsch at middleweight on the Spike broadcast. Both fights have the potential for solid action.

Nick Ring vs. Tim Boetsch - Round 1 - Boetsch is trying to hunt down Ring who is circling away. Ring throws a jab and a head kick that both don't land hard. Ring catches a kick and Boetsch falls to his knees, Ring pounces and takes a headlock and controls Boetsch. Tim gets up to his feet now. Ring's movement is enough to keep Boetsch from really getting off any effective offense. Boetsch keeps coming up short with his punches and he is going to have to figure out how to cut off the cage. 10-9 round for Ring.
Round 2 - It's more of the same early. But finally Boetsch throws the left and then the right hand to hit Ring. Boetsch uses the same move again. Takedown by Boetsch, Ring gets to his feet. Boetsch grabs a guillotine now and is looking to slowly move for the finish but Ring pops his head out and is now on top. Boetsch tries to push off and get to his feet and manages to do it. A few big punches by Boetsch land. Tim chasing him down and landing a lot of punches now. Big takedown by Boetsch and then he looks for a kimura but the round ends. 10-9 Boetsch.
Round 3 - Right hand by Ring. Boetsch catches him in a clinch and lands a right hand. Ring pushing him into the cage now. Left hook lands for Boetsch. Pushing Ring into the cage now and digging one shot to the body. Ring with a right hand and a knee. Boetsch with a trip takedown and he's on top now. Referee Mario Yamasaki stands them up. Huge throw by Boetsch and he's in side control looking to trap an arm. Mount by Boetsch. Fight ends with Boetsch landing a flurry of punches. 10-9 for Boetsch gives him the fight 29-28 on my card.
Official scorecards: 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27. Tim Boetsch wins by unanimous decision.
Tony Ferguson vs. Aaron Riley - Round 1 - Riley coming forward, trying to press Ferguson. Both men swinging and missing early. Riley throws a head kick that gets blocked. Riley working a few leg kicks. Head kick by Riley is caught by Ferguson and he gets dumped but bounces up before Ferguson can pounce. Punch lands for Ferguson. Riley mixing up his kicks a lot here. Right hand for Ferguson. Nice shot by Ferguson hurts Riley. To the body now and Riley circles away but he is still buzzed. Low blow on accident by Riley and Ferguson starts to blast away with punches. Riley is starting to wilt a bit from the punches of Ferguson. Riley tries to throw a combo but misses on everything. 10-9 for Ferguson. Riley says his jaw is broken in the corner and that'll do it. Anthony Ferguson wins by TKO (doctor stoppage), round 1.
