Does MMA have traditions?

On ESPN radio this week, they had a segment which asked for the best long-standing tradition in your favorite sport. The answers were things like the 7th inning stretch, throwing hats on the ice, and so on. I tried to think of an equivalent tradition in MMA, but all I could think of were things like "talking trash" and "fans saying the former champ was never any good." Things like that may be traditional in some sense, but they're not the same as awarding a green jacket or drinking mint juleps.

Modern MMA is very new, of course. Has it developed any durable, meaningful traditions? If not, do you think it will?
