f'ck it, I'm rooting for Condit
Massive fan of both guys…but I think Condit’s go for broke style vs GSP’s more conservative style will end up working out for Condit.

I don't think so, and I don't THINK Condit will win either
At the end of the day, I’m an enormous fan of both of these guys and can have just as much fun rooting for one guy as I do the other.
In cases where I’m a fan of both and one is the dominant champion…it makes the fight more exciting to root for the underdog.

People say they will
But they freeze up fighting GSP. Condit’s the bad midi that just might go for broke, or at least realize when he’s losing and attempt some kind of offense.
Business as Usual has a STACKED team. I mean, we could win with just me, but you know.

I agree with this.
I don’t think he’ll win either, but Carlos is a guy who gets coldly furious when you hurt him. I can’t see him shelling up or freezing. I know it was just the WEC, but one thing I loved about him was that even in his title defenses he just went for it non-stop. Lesser competition, but he had something to lose in all those fights, and he ate shots in those fights as well and just wouldn’t stop pushing forward. It may just get him stopped here, but I’m pretty optimistic that this will be a hell of a fun fight.

It’s going to be interesting. With Condit, there’s a recklessness yet unpredictablility with him. In the standup, GSP will always have to watch out for knees punches and kicks. If/when GSP takes Condit down, Condit is a master of scrambling back to his feet or threatening from the bottom. I think GSP is better in all aspects of the game than Condit, but Condit has such a go-for-broke chaotic style that’s an x factor. I have GSP winning, but it’s an interesting matchup.

Dude I like GSP, and always root for him.
but not this time! Nothing in MMA would make me happier than seeing Condit take Georges out. I’ve been a fan a long time, and things have gotten a bit too routine at WW. Georges is still young enough that he needs another mountain to climb. WAR CONDIT! Shomer fucking Shabbos!

While I think Condit is a WAY BETTER fighter than Diaz
GSP still takes this one due to Condit’s weak ass TD defense.

Nicktheface is so fucking great, he could make a video that would get me pumped for a fight between jon fitch and his clone

Maybe the wrestling would cancel out,
and they’d just trade haymakers like Frye/Takayama:)

i actually don't think fitch is that bad, i'm a fan of his, but i do admit that his style is very boring
I'm a fan of his, too.
However, he does deserve some of the grief he gets. It’s just us fans pushing him to do his best:)

I get the feeling that if GSP wins this,
he’ll do it by a proper finish this time. I think both Diaz and Condit are the kind of fighters who will force that kind of response from him.

Yeah
I’ve always thought he was a ringer. He does almost exclusively UFC (except for a Strikeforce trailer two months before the UFC announced they were buying them; hmmm)
I'd buy that
But I think his first account was deleted due to copyright claims.
This one has stayed around though…so maybe they did pick him up and now use him for cool promos.
They should plug his stuff on their various facebook/twitter accounts.

yea i don't buy it, if he worked for them, dana would tweet links to his videos and stuff
its like what they do with the “freefights4you” youtube account, that is obviously the ufc’s but they put out promos that use copyrighted material and stuff like that.
that was great
I dont think georges can handle condit’s beast mode.
i do believe we are going to see a new ww champ.
best of luck to both fighters.
I am willing to test myself against the toughest fighters in the world, in front of hundreds of thousands or even millions of fans, over and over again. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but I always come to fight. I've been doing this for the past fourteen years, and I have at least a few more strong years left in me. What have you done in the past fourteen years other than act like a moron on this forum and hang on Anderson's nuts? - Dan Henderson.
we're talking about the same guy who got handled by rory right ?
i get it, condit has more than a punchers chance to beat GSP, but beast mode ? really ? georges dont play that game!

'Handled by Rory'
One judge gave him the first, where he visibly rocked Rory…he didn’t take a lot of damage in the fight…and if I recall right, he came out in the 3rd and put Rory through a meat grinder.
At best Rory ‘won’ 2/3rds of the fight, while Carlos dominated enough in the final 3rd to finish it.
Let’s not get too into the hyperbole here.
Also, dropping 2 rounds to Rory isn’t so bad, considering Condit is the only guy to ever beat him.

Agreed
It’s also a 5 round fight, and Condit’s non-stop style had Rory worn out in round 3. How well will GSP hold up in the championship rounds when he’s tired and Condit shifts into beast mode? That’s what I’m most looking forward to. When was the last time we saw someone actually trying to finish GSP right up until the final bell? Usually his opponents are demoralized and just trying to survive by the time it gets to the 3rd, but that won’t happen with Condit.
by IWillPartyHard on Sep 23, 2011 11:56 AM EDT up reply actions
Exactly, relentless is a word that applies to Condit
I don’t see him resigning like Koscheck and Shields did in the later rounds…where they almost just did enough to appear to still be fighting…their top plans had sufficiently failed, and they didn’t know what else to do but stand there, try to come forward and just throw some stuff.
Condit, I don’t believe, will ever stop keeping the pressure up or ever stop looking for the victory…and he’s willing to throw all kinds of crazy sh!t, so GSP will have more to think about. Condit will blast a flying knee out of nowhere.

This is crazy.
It is literally a WWE promo except it’s the UFC, weirdest thing ever.

Very well made
Timing, pacing, shot selection, transitions, use of music and VO, all well done. Even had a narrative and short little story arc.
