Babalu Sobral Speaks to Aaron Tru from MMAPrime.tv about the possibilities of fighting Bellator 185lbs Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard. It appears the two have somewhat of a hostile past. Babalu comments on the current state of contract negotiations, what needs to happen for him to fight Lombard and how he would match up vs Lombard as well. Babalu makes mention of Lombard’s desire to avoid himself and Josh Barnett when training at CSW and having chosen to pick up newer fighters instead. Babalu makes no qualms about predicting that he would go through Lombard like a train if they ever did meet in the cage.

I think I would definitely go with Lombard though.

I honestly don’t think Sobral could take one of those big punches from Lombard.

I have to agree with Chris, I don’t think Babalu has the chin to eat any of those crazy Punch-Out hooks that Lombard throws. Not anymore, anyway.
