UFC light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado is a guy that a lot of fans are interested in watching. Unfortunately, they won't be watching him on October 1st. MMA Weekly brings the news:
Fabio Maldonado’s opportunity to get his UFC career back on track has been sidelined.
UFC officials on Wednesday announced that Maldonado had to pull out of his scheduled UFC on Versus 6 bout with Aaron Rosa due to injury.
Maldonado started off his UFC career in fine fashion by dispatching James McSweeney via TKO in third round at UFC 120, but dropped to 1-1 in an extremely entertaining loss to Kyle Kingsbury at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale in June. Despite the unanimous decision loss, the pro boxer's use of body shots won over the crowd and many fans, and he picked up a $40,000 bonus for fight of the night.
No replacement to face Rosa has been named as of yet.
