4 weeks from my first BJJ tournament. Help me gameplan BE!

Ok so if you've been following my BJJ entries, you know exactly how far I've come in the last 9 weeks.  For those reading this for the first time, here are some cliffs:

1) I train at OAMA under Matt "Hammer" Hache

2) I'm a whitebelt competing @ 167.5

3) I'm lanky.  Very lanky.

I have some questions about a wide range of things, so let's just jump right in.

First things first.  I don't train takedowns.  I mean, I know how to do them, I've learned them and practiced them, but I don't train them.  Do I even bother going for one?  Do I pull guard?

Second, a question about points.  If I sweep someone into mount, do I get points for the sweep, or points for getting mount?

About the illegal moves...a Mata Leao with the foot?  How does that even happen?

I'm not really all that concerned with losing in the tournament, I just want to personally do well.  What was your mindset like going into your first competition?  What was your gameplan?  33 days until my competition...let's mutherfuckers.
