UFC 133 Aftermath: Jon Jones Calls Rashad Evans 'A Jealous Snake'

As fighters are prone to do, Jon Jones was active on Twitter Saturday and continued Sunday night, discussing his thoughts on Rashad Evans' victory over Tito Ortiz and his relationship with his former teammate. At one point Jones suggested that Rashad's victory was just the "same stuff"

On Sunday night, someone tweeted Jones about a Yahoo article with Evans' post-fight press conference remarks about Jones being cocky and how he wants to be the first man to truly tag a loss on him.

From there, it was on.

So interesting that rashad would offer rampage to come train.. I listen to his words closely, I know how his heart really feels.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

@saint5252 he was never my friend, he's a jealous snake.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

One of the most interesting tweets was Jones suggesting that he feels somewhat bad about their bitter relationship:

@LoganLacy sometimes I feel like apologizing for whatever I did to him to make him hate me so much.. he's says I betray him.. #nonsenseless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Jones would go into more depth about the history and his desire to not fight his teammate.

As seen here:

I cleanly said I would HATE to have to fight my teammate and the ONLY way it could ever possibly happen is if Dana would fire me over it.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

He used that to start calling me Judas and a @JacksonsMMA trader. He was looking for an excuse to bring out his envy after I won the beltless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Jones would continue to retweet various fans supporting a lot of the above statements. It was another bizarre exchange that continued to heighten the animosity between the two. The only issue? Before this fight can happen, Jones needs to successfully defend his title against Rampage Jackson at UFC 135 in September.

Will he be able to retain his focus and get the job done?
