Hallman immediately took Ebersole's back which was all the more awkward was he is wearing a speedo. Ebersole survives back control and reverses position. This is one of the more awkward fights in UFC history. Big elbow from the top landed for Ebersole. Big elbows landed and did big damage from the top. The referee called the fight after Ebersole landed numerous elbows from the top. Big win for Ebersole.

This was one of the more controversial fights to be on the main card. Not many fans felt that Brian Ebersole and Dennis Hallman deserved to be on the PPV portion of the event. Brian Ebersole has shown that he belongs in the UFC now with wins over Chris Lytle and Dennis Hallman. He is now 48-14-1 overall and 2-0 in the promotion. Dennis Hallman tried fighting in a speedo and it failed him. He is now 2-2 since returning to the UFC and holds an overall record of 43-14-2. Should Matt Hughes fail in his fight against Diego Sanchez, the likely fight is Hughes/Hallman.
