OK…The writing is on the wall United/Golden Glory is promoting their own shows. They have close contacts already with M1 Global, so It is just a matter of time before they co-promote.  So let’s see what their inaugural show might look like.

1.       A. Overeem  vs  Fedor Emelianenko. This is a fight that fans still want to see.

2.       V.  Overeem  vs  Aleksander Emelianenko. Battle of the brothers, why not?

3.       Paul Daley  vs  Nate Marquardt. Yeah I know Nate is with BAMMA, but I bet he has the ability to fight outside the company. If they don’t fight here they will with BAMMA anyway.

4.       Gegard Mousassi  vs some M1 light heavy we never heard of.

5.       John Einemo  vs  James Thompson. I get goose bumps just thinking about it.

6.       I’m sure they can scrape together another dozen KIckboxers and Sambo fighters to round out the card.

I don’t think I would buy this card on ppv, but I would stay up until 2:00AM to watch it on HDNet.

All joking aside once Strikforce is folded into the UFC there will be a place for an MMA promotion who can afford the top fighters who are outside of Zuffa.  Guys like Mousassi  and Overeem who don’t want to sell their souls to DW, or guys who get cut for whatever reason from the UFC.  I for one wish them all the best.
