Man, this fight should never have been made
What is Schaub doing fighting another old declining fighter? It is just lame and it does nothing for him in his quest for a “title shot”. I hope Nog beats him and messes up his carefully orchestrated plan.
If heavyweight isn't the toughest division in the UFC, then why doesn't someone that can kick their asses move to it? They don’t even have to cut weight!!

they need to justify giving Schaub a title run
since Roy Nelson showed he’s got some glaring gaps in his game. Watch for Schaub to be kept far far away from anyone resembling a serious threat as he’s fast-tracked into the jaws of JDS or Cain.
He’ll make a semi-credible challenger. He’s young. He’s strong. He’ll have a HL reel of KO’s of Cro Cop and Big Nog. It will be fun to see the story come to the predictable end when he gets Carwin’d.

HIS plan?
Is he matchmaking now?

They’d love for Schaub to be a real contender, just like BJ or Kenny, they’ll give them match ups that favor them til the end of time, he might be successful but I don’t see it happening.
It's just a world, it's just a life.
Sure. I agree this is setup to build Schuab up, and give him some kind of resume. Just that any backlash should be aimed at the UFC. I’m not hearing Schaub talk a bunch of trash and call out these guys. Now, saying that he thinks he has the best hands in the division was ludicrous. I’m sure Junior and Cain wouldn’t mind a little target practice to prove him wrong. Anyway, the guy’s done alright for himself, but he’s getting close to his ceiling. As for Nog, I love him, but if he can’t beat Brendan, then he should probably call it a career, much as it’ll sadden me. Hoping for one more submission victory for Minotauro.

Schaub should not even be built up, he got ktfo by Nelson, who is currently on a 2 fight losing streak and is on his way out unless he crushes Cro Cop.

The only fights Schaub should get regardless of what happens tomorrow are Nelson or Mitrione. I sense an upset though.
I don't understand why everything thinks Schaub needs to rematch Nelson
What does Roy’s record have to do with Schaub? He lost to him 5 fights ago. Everybody loses. He has improved since then and is doing pretty good. Yeah, he kinda seems like a douche, but that’s beside the point.
No one said Shogun needed to beat Forrest again before getting his shot against Machida.

That has zero to do with anything. That was his first fight at this level, he’d been training for two years at that point.

the scoring of the fight doesn't matter
You said he gets favorable matchups, and yet he had to fight Jon Fitch which is a really bad fight for him.
but if we want to get into scoring...
I had the first 2 rounds for Penn. Thats a draw if you want to say 10-8 3rd.
The only gimme BJ had was his last fight with Hughes.
To get him back on track after two losses to Edgar.
Hughes is a gimme fight for no man.
Hughes will beat Diego.
