Why we as MMA fans MUST believe Nog will win

So let me start by admitting I am not only a Nogueira fan but a total mark, it borders on mancrush (no-homo), there's just something about his performances that leave me, as a fan, breathless.  The fact that no matter how close to the edge he was pushed he always made the viewer feel that he was about to pull something, anything off.  We saw it in the Bob Sapp fight as Nog was brutalized all over the ring only to pull off a miracle armbar victory, in the Tim Sylvia fight, Nog was down and out and out of nowhere pulled off a beautiful sweep to guillotine for the tap.  The Cro-Cop fight and I could go on.

Unfortunately as we know "Nog" has fallen on hard time lately, the loss to Mir is explained due to staph....right?  But then the Cain fight, which I still have to close my eyes anytime they show a replay, I just can't watch Nog get pounded to sleep....he looked smooth and nearly vintage against Couture, however as we saw Couture was on his downward slide at that point so what value did that victory really have?

As fans we HAVE to believe that the healthy Nog we saw Vs Couture is the same healthy Nog that we will see vs Schaub.  Nog says he's 100% finally ( I know  I know), the reality is Schaub is no great wrestler he's still somewhat of a neo-phyte, who's mainly a pucher (a good one albeit)...If they clinch would Nog not drop for a kneebar or simply pull guard and play that position where he's revered?  Schaub had a VERY hard time passing Cro-cop's guard, who while he's known for good guard defense, is no "specialist" and frankly a win over Cro-Cop has become meaningless (no offense).

So while I will hold my breath and clench my buttcheeks, collectively with the fans, everytime they exchange on the feet for fear that my precious Nog goes down for what could be a final time, however until then "The Storm is Threatening"
