Amazing finish to a night of pretty entertaining fights

Pshh

you can’t just ignore the abortion of a fight that was Konrad vs. Buentello.

It wasn't that bad

It wasn’t that good either. But I’ve seen enough Heavyweight fights to know that wasn’t among the worst.

Pshh you can't ignore the Silverback blasting Ricco (on a 12 fight winning streak no less)

and Pat Curran KOing Sandro was the bow on top.

Amazing KO by Curran, who is turning in to a really good fighter...

…but it was heart breaking to see Sandro after the KO, specially when you know his back story.

The kick was perfectly timed, as Sandro rolled his head in to it.

The world became a less amazing place on June 18 2011, with the death of Clarence Clemons. R.I.P. Big Man, you will be sorely missed.

Agree completely. I like both of these guys, but you can’t help but pull for a guy like Sandro when you understand what motivates him.

Absolutely.

I would guess that you have read it, but if not, you (and everyone else) need to read the story Marcelo Alonso did on Sandro, Chatuba and some of the other fighters fighting to survive in, and hopefully escape from, the favelas. That one really got me in to Sandros corner…

It´s a longer article and well worth the read:

It’s why I root for guys like Jussier Da Silva to succeed. When Sandro said he wanted to be able to tell his little boy that he had done it for him, it really kind of hurt to think that this is the only opportunity he can envision.

Fantastic

Could not have timed that any better. I was looking forward to a Sandro vs Warren matchup, but an impressive victory for Curran.

Rogan (with a sound of disgust in his voice): No, no, no he is not.

Bellator does a great job of viral marketing itself by showing off these highlight reel finishes on youtube, if they can somehow get a facebook deal or netflix or something else to stream besides a TV deal i think they could stick around then other mid tier orgs.

Move over Franklin/Quarry, Evans/Salmon…

Whatever. Bellator 48 was pretty good. The Curran-Sandro fight was cool, the finish was epic. I loved the way Curran set it up.

Petrucelli’s finish was an obvious end, Ricco didn’t want to strike with Seth.

Cole Konrad vs Buentello? yawn but overall this was a good card.

I tend to be biased towards strikers . . . exciting strikers.
