Mainstream. And I mean true mainstream.

I hope for a day where Zuffa is putting 4 cards per month on FOX. 1 ppv type, 1 versus type and 2 Showcase/challenger type cards so we can abolish TUF. Do what Boxing never could do and make enough money on network tv to abandon the PPV model.

I would love that, but I doubt Fox would want everyone of their Saturday nights occupied with MMA. Once a month, maybe, but I doubt much more than that.

well yes but the point of going on fox was for UFC to grow even more

If the UFC could carve out a nascar type following in say another 10 years its possible saturday could be synonomous with UFC way Monday and Thurs are WWE etc..

yeah going up against college football is not something most sports want to do.

I’d imagine Saturday is for big cards only. We’ll see how well the UFC does on broadcast, I think it will do quite well, but I don’t know if we’ll get to the point of 4 card a month. That would be over-saturation of a market IMO

definitely less TUF. if they want to keep a foot in reality tv then they should produce more of the documentary style pieces on upcoming fighters, such as the In the Moment special with JJ. I would love it if the UFC could one day abandon the PPV model but that is years and years away

I can see Fox and the UFC developing a new reality show

Obviously you have to feature fighters with an end goal of competition for some prize but they should do it camp vs camp (vs camp vs camp?) and follow the fighters/coaches during training and day-to-day crap. More personal, less JUST BLEED.

Hell they could throw in some “don’t try this at home wink wink” technique demos from grappling/striking coaches for each episode.
