The first round was dictated by both men operating in the Thai clinch. Sadollah opted to stand and trade with Duane Ludwig but was on the losing end of multiple body shots that landed hard. Ludwig rocked Amir with a solid combo but was unable to put the TUF winner away. Ludwig found a home for his left hook which constantly halted Sadollah whenever he came forward.
The second round was more of the same. Ludwig is the superior striker and was just picking Amir apart.. His hook was on point and was again stopping Amir in his tracks whenever he tried to come forward. Amir attempted a couple takedowns but was unable to convert on any of them. Duane landed a solid hook that again stunned Amir for the second round in a row.
The final round was more of the same. This fight was really decided by Duane's legitimate kickboxing credentials against Amir who hasn't really competed at the international level. Amir needs to go back and work on his kickboxing. It was just a one sided fight against someone who is just better all around.
Duane Ludwig walks away with the Unanimous Decision and made a plea for the record books to be corrected so that he has the Fasted Knockout in UFC history. I don't know what the UFC does with Amir Sadollah at this point but Duane made a case to be moved up in the rankings.
