I'm shocked

That Justin Edwards didn’t get cut after the loss to Harvison. I guess they got rid of Chuck O’Neill but for some reason kept Edwards

I’ve been overwhelmed and I’ve been underwhelmed. Can I ever just be whelmed?

Not to be that guy.....

But hey we’re on BE we’re all kinda that guy but a site I know (ULTMMA.com) reported the Lopez vs Edwards match-up 3-4 hours before Weekly even touched their keyboard

Fight announcements far from our thing but when I tweet @MMAWeekly a story at 7PM and they post it on their site at 10PM it kinda sucks when they don’t give you any credit like at all

Don’t break a lot of stories but when I have Junkie, Sherdog, Mania, BE have always been cool about linking back……Weekly never has and guess never will be

Sorry, buddy.

It was a bit a difficult to find the original source other than Lopez’s Twitter which didn’t mention the Edwards match-up. Weekly was the only other place I saw the bout mentioned, but I’ll be sure to check you guys out first next time.

No worries on your end.

I’m on BE everyday and post here…..weekly not so much. One more blast on this- In 2011 the only people that still read MMA Weekly on a daily basis are people that are blood related to a staff member.

TKO (Retirement) always makes me laugh a little.

Like the fighter was getting mashed & in the middle of the second rd, he’s like “eh, I’ve had a good career. I officially retire.”

Yeah, Sherdog really needs to change that terminology

to “Did not answer bell” or “Quit on the stool” or something. Guess they need to keep it concise though.

With a beating like that...

I was there at TFP the other weekend and say Jorge put a beating on him throughout the 1st and 2nd rounds. As dude walked back to his stool you could see that he was a beatin’ man. After the bell rang to start the 3rd he just sat there. He didn’t wave off to the ref or anything. He just sat there like he couldn’t believe how dominated he just was for the last ten minutes.
I’m excited to see Jorge in the UFC. Dude definitely had some mad skill out there. Can’t wait to see him fight in the big leagues.

Jorge has a lot of skill

His striking is very crisp and he has plenty of power. However, from the couple fights I’ve seen, he seems to lack a killer instinct. He should have knocked Marshall and Spiritwolf out, but held back when he had them hurt. Hopefully he can improve this weakness, if he can he could really make some noise in the UFC.

Part of Pech's Posse since 2007.

That Spiritwolf fight

was incredibly underwhelming. I didn’t see his last fight, but I was surprised that he was the guy I had heard so much about. I may have to try to watch the Marshall fight.
