The Miller brothers are known for stepping in as late replacements in fights, and UFC 134 will be no different. Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira was forced out of his bout with Rousimar Palhares for unknown reasons, but Dan Miller will step up and take on Toquinho in his home country of Brazil. From UFC.com:
"Dan Miller lives up to his motto of 'anyone, anyplace, anytime' by stepping up against Rousimar Palhares at UFC 134 after original opponent Alexandre Ferreira pulled out of the fight," said UFC president Dana White today.
Miller is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Nate Marquardt at UFC 128, but he was moved into that fight on one weeks notice after Yoshihiro Akiyama was forced out. He had been originally scheduled to face Nick Catone. He had won two straight fights before the loss to Marquardt. Palhares rebounded from his own loss to Marquardt by submitting Dave Branch at UFC on Versus 3 in March.
