MMA training with Pat Barry
I found an awesome MMA training video of Pat Barry demonstrating a fighting trick on Matt Mitrione. He basically sets up for a big left hook but misses with the left hook on purpose and as Mitrione winds up a left hook, he snap kicks him in the head with his lead leg. Really great insight courtesy of TapouT VTC. It's tricks like this that separate the good from the great. It's impossible to succeed if you're predictable these days.

i think it's a good move
would not work against a wrestler though don’t you think? you miss the hook he is going down for the takedown
@Bignat
Right, there’s the catch I think. It takes a lot of precision. You have to be extremely quick with the kick. I actually think a lead-leg snap-kick may be quick enough to land before the takedown. But that’s a very interesting point you bring up.
Interesting
These MMA Training Videos are reminding me of Poker Training Sites … I can’t help but feel MMA and Poker have some commonality in that sense.
Its like a tricky poker tip that seems really cool, much like this video to a novice or med level MMA fan.
I feel like this is MMA big gold rush and then it will subside much like poker did.
MMA is much simpler, though,
I think fighting appeals to people on a much more basic, raw level. Unadulturated, simple competition. No cards, no pieces on a board, no balls or goalposts… just 2 fighters with basic protective gear and some ground rules to keep things safe.
That’s what I would like to think, at least. Most of my buddies highly prefer MMA to boxing, and I watch both.

Good points
I actually started out only like MMA but somehow I have transitioned to like both Boxing and MMA.
I can appreciate high level boxing tho at times it can be stale, I still enjoy the big match ups.
Gonna try this tonight
Also, love his sound effects.
Fighter, lover and all around awesome.
