I don't know his name, nor do I want to. I don't want to know why he is allegedly qualified for this job, because regardless of his accomplishments in commentating other sports he doesn't belong anywhere near a mic at a Strikeforce, or any MMA event for that matter.

The man I am talking about is the commentator who is not Frank Shamrock, and is also not Gus Johnson (I know, I'm shocked too) 

He was wrong, over and over and over. He wasn't wrong in a Mike Goldberg Yoda-esque incorrect comparison way. He was just wrong as in "I have never watched a fight, let's use words I've heard" way.

First he made the claim that Fedor was the lightest he had ever been. Whether or not that is correct doesn't matter, because he followed it up with "He is in the best shape I think I have ever seen him in!" Now that is just straight up bullshit. If anything Fedor looked the same or worse. Losing 7lbs only since his last bout... he may have taken a huge shit that morning, drank a lot of coffee afterwards and pissed a river to make Henderson think "AHA I am newly improved marginally lighter Fedor. At a lean 223lbs Russia can put this man on the moon." Not to mention, he didn't look like he was in better shape at all. The Fedor who fought in Pride looked more muscular. Additionally  let me remind you again all of this was made off of SEVEN POUNDS. I wish I could direct a movie called Seven Pounds which illustrates how wrong this guy was, but Will Smith already made one about much a better plot so I'll let it go.

Then shortly after, he claimed there was no way that Fedor and Henderson could end with a finish. Apparently both men were so powerful they could not knock each other out. It would go to a decision. After one brief exchange he made this astute observation. I am so happy he was shut down immediately because that is the perfect example of the uselessness of this guy.

I'm actually upset as I write this. My poor keyboard is taking a pounding today. I have to end this fan post now because I don't want to buy a new one.
