major fighting festival going down in Senegal today, (Sun.)

I figured some folks here might be interested in seeing another country's fight culture.

Wrestling is a traditional sport in Senegal with a rich heritage. Their rules are simple; points are won by forcing the opponent to touch the ground with four points of contact. A face in the sand is an overwhelming and humiliating defeat. There are two types of wresting, with and without strikes, (but no kicks.) Todays main fights will feature the striking-wrestling. This is a major happening taking place inside a full screaming stadium and also features bands, drumming and, dancers. I would love to be able to attend one of these some day.

There are streams available to watch live right now [ check out the  sunutv site (2sTV) ] and there will be Youtube highlights posted tonight.
