Every fighter has a puncher's chance and dan' chances seem to keep going up

This is my first fan post i wrote this because my friend was sending me text messages. Of how bad the stoppage was last night.  

When i came on bloody elbow this morning i saw the gif's. I was thinking what was he talking about. It wasn't like dan hit him and fedor started rolling for a armbar. He went down was out for a few seconds. Yes those were illegal hits but fedor couldn't protect himself from them . He was trying to turn around and herb gets in between them. My friend said nah herb doesn't let people fight. I said herb saves the fighters. I said you want fedor to be like our other pride greats. I said you always cheer for cro crop . He goes yeah he was the man back in pride look at what happened to him now though. I said exactly you want everyone to be like chuck after they finish fighting? That is when he hits me with something i didn't really like. He goes so what they need to entertain me. I don't want to see out for a couple seconds. I want them to look dead. I said what about when fedor fought silva.  You said they should have kept fghting even though his eye was closed. Then he said in pride the refs let it go until it was clear you wasn't able to come back. I said that's the problem pride is done and so are most of it's stars. 

A lot of fighters from pride who have been in those wars find it hard to get back to the top of the sport. We have our exceptions but for the most part. Most former pride guys don't do so well outside of pride. You only have one body and the damage just adds up over the years. All those wars every knee to the face soccer kick to the head which was allowed in pride.  It all adds up iron chins and healthy bodies becomes things of the past.  My point is the ref is there to try and protect the fighter. Not make him take extra unnecessary damage. 

i think herb did his job right last night. A flash KO and a regular KO is still a KO when it comes to mma. This is not boxing you don't get a 10 count when you go down and nap for a couple seconds. I know many of you will say what about the Kongo vs Barry match. Kongo kept moving he really didn't want to lose that match. He showed a lot of heart and grit to stay alive when under fire. If Barry wasn't afraid of the ground he would have finished him.
