While getting ready for work, I was thinking of last night's fight between Chris Leben and Wanderlei Silva. Silva is done. No way around that and no disrespect to him, but what more can be said? Leben might never fight for a title but he still has some interesting match ups waiting for him.. Maybe Shogun Rua. Now, you might be thinking "what the fuck is this guy on??" but it makes sense IF Mauricio loses his upcoming fight to Forrest Griffin (which I think he will). I wouldn't at all be surprised if he won, but if he did lose then I would expect him to try to make the cut to 185 ala leightweights cutting down to 145. I think a Leben vs Shogun match up would be very entertaining and easy to sell to the fans. That's if Shogun loses though. If he plows right through Forrest, then Shogun can fight someone like the loser of Rashad Evans vs Phil Davis or the winner of Vladimir Matuyshenko vs Alexander Guffstafson. ( Excuse my spelling) and Leben would probably fight Demian Maia or Jorge Santiago as mentioned in another fan post.
