MFC Signs URCC Veteran and Asian Champ, Sabah Fadai
Mark Pavelich and the MFC have announced today the signing of 25-year-old lightweight prospect, Sabah Fadai. For those unfamiliar with "The Persian Warrior", the Iranian born fighter started his career in British Columbia, but has found the most success fighting for the URCC, the top MMA promotion from his adopted country, the Philippines.
He has an overall MMA record of 7-1, and as one of the bright prospects out of the Philippines, he also represented the URCC on two Martial Combat bouts last year. He won both of those fights, and also took home the Singapore-based promotion's Super-Fight title in the process.
After signing a multi-fight deal with Maximum Fighting, Fadai, who is also taking up Dentistry in the Philippines, talked about this move:
"There’s a lot of pressure on me to be the first doctor in my entire family, and I like that, but my passion is fighting and coming into the MFC is a huge step up for me. I’ve been on ESPN in Singapore before but the chance to be on HDNet, to be the first fight on TV at MFC 31, is so great. I really can’t believe I’m getting this spot."
Check out a few of his fights after the jump.

Too bad the ref didn't call it...Doo Jae Jung definitely tapped early in the 2nd.
I don’t much about him, but Fadai looks pretty well rounded, and intelligent enough to keep improving his game.
