As skill increases, interest decreases. MMA has peaked.

Rampage Jackson was right. MMA is becoming boxing and soon people won't care anymore.

It is undeniable that Georges St. Pierre is the most talented welterweight to step into the octagon. It is undeniable that he fights a risk-averse and highly skilled fight. It is undeniable that his style is less entertaining than it used to be.

He is the first to enter the future of MMA. A future where highly skilled fighters collide and engage in a tactical game of human chess in a 8 sided cage. I also believe they may replace the cage with a white picket fence to cater to the intelligent audience which will be the only fans left watching.

I don't know what they can do to fix this "problem" and keep MMA as the entertainment sport it once was, but what started as a collision of different martial arts to compete to see which was the best has become "If you can't wrestle you will lose to a superior wrestler"
